“Every fairytale has a dark side.”

Centuries ago, a witch named Deidre and a monk/calligrapher named Morgann fell in love with one another, breaking all the rules. Centuries later, Deidre came back to Morgann, and not much had changed–except their bodies, that is.

The Black Angel Book series by Author Hope Irving fascinates me, both from its originality and the unexpected twists. Once Upon A Dream had a lot of surprises–some that left my jaw hanging open. In this installment Rose (Deidre’s host) hones her abilities, the TRUTH comes out, and someone very bad gets theirs in the end, and man oh man, was it ever satisfying!

Themes of reincarnation, star-crossed lovers, and spells and curses are heavy throughout this book. I wondered nearly up until the end what Rose (Deidre) would choose, as she often changed her mind or was conflicted in her decisions. In the end, I was pleased with the choice she made.

Once Upon a Dream is adult themed, laced with eroticism and oozing sexuality. Honestly, I think it could be classified as an erotic paranormal romance, but I haven’t read enough erotic PNR to say for sure. But, I do know this: if you are a fan of paranormal romance and erotic romance, READ THIS SERIES for you will not be disappointed!

I was delighted to see there will be a fourth installment of this series!

Great job, Ms. Irving! You continue to entertain me with your stories. 5/5 Stars. 🙂
